Oakridge Adventist Church is full of vibrant seniors who are active and enthusiastic in our community life. Organizing numerous excursions throughout the year, the Seniors Ministry meets around the city for fun and fellowship. Tea and Trumpets is one of these events where seniors together enjoy local concerts and symphonies.
Once a month, seniors hold a gathering before church services called Heritage Sabbath. This is a chance to revel in the beautiful history of our church through the singing of hymns and the hearing of devotional messages. Some of our elderly are no longer able to join us for regular church services and Senior Ministry events, but we continue to remember them and love them through our ministry Hug a Homebound where gift bags are delivered by church members to those who are being missed.
The Senior Ministry provides fellowship, friendship, and support to the seniors in our congregation as they encourage inter-generational fellowship so that our church may be encouraged and strengthened by the older members of our community.
